Congo Refugees

I want to make sure that you keep your life in perspective. Take a look at this picture:

On November 1, 2008, Amanda, myself, and the kids drove 3 hours north in a comfortable van (air conditioning, seats to sit on or sleep on, food, water, etc.) in order to run a race - just for the fun of it.

On the same day people in Africa that have been forced to leave their homes were walking hundreds of miles to find a new place to live. They have very little food and very little water. Parents are walking. Children are walking, Grandparents are walking. They have no home.

Keep your life in perspective. Right now it is God's will that we live the way we do. He has blessed us with many, many things. But, things may not always be this way. Someday God may allow us to live like the people in the Congo, Africa. We may lose our home one day. We may be walking hundreds of miles to find a new home. We may be scared because we are out of food and water. Or, scared that we will be killed.

But, we will always have Jesus. And, no one can ever take that away.

We can pray to God and receive the peace that passes all understanding. And, no one can ever take that away.

We will be with him in heaven. And, no one can ever take that away.

Keep your life in perspective.

In Christ,
